Cornelius Seafood Restaurant

For guests who want a spectacular arrival at Holmen, Cornelius Seafood Restaurant offers the opportunity to land by helicopter on our own helipad.
This is done in collaboration with our partner Cannonball, which provides helicopter tours and charter flights throughout Western Norway.

Read more about their helicopter services here:

About the helicopter platform

The helipad at Cornelius was built around 2010 as part of the restaurant's expansion.
The rock masses from the mountain that were blasted out to make more space on Holmen were used to form what Alf, also known as Oyster Dundee, likes to refer to as his "helicopter pad."

It has always been his dream to create a restaurant with its own helicopter pad.
Today, the helipad is a living part of Cornelius and has been used for everything from:

  • Ceremonies and weddings
  • Surprise proposals
  • Small and large concerts
  • Special arrivals for guests who want something truly out of the ordinary

We welcome guests who want to make their visit with us extra memorable.
